Fractional safety leadership.
Part-time or interim senior safety and QHSE leadership for organizations that need executive safety judgment but do not yet need a full-time seat. Taken on selectively, and only where I think I can move the work.
Who it suits
Complex, multi-site, or high-risk operations.
Who it suits
Fractional safety leadership is for operations where the safety case is non-trivial: aviation ground services, logistics and warehousing, manufacturing, and other distributed environments where the work moves and the risk profile does too. It suits organizations between "we need a senior safety voice" and "we are ready to hire one full time."
What the work looks like
The work itself, not a sales menu.
What the work looks like
- SMS
Stand up or steady a safety management system
Build the system from the work upward, or rebuild trust in one that has drifted. Policy, risk register, investigation discipline, and the cadences that keep it honest.
- QHSE strategy
Multi-site QHSE strategy and governance
Set direction across complex, distributed operations. Make the dashboard and the ramp tell the same story. Align quality, health, safety, and environment as one program.
- Indicators
Leading and lagging indicator programs
Move the conversation upstream of injury. Define and instrument leading indicators that actually predict, and use lagging data without letting it lie to you.
- Investigation
Investigation and corrective action that hold
Honest root cause work. Corrective actions that close the loop, are verifiable, and survive the next leadership change.
- AI + data
AI-enabled and predictive methods
Bring connected operations data and AI into a safety function without losing the human in the loop. Help frontline supervisors act on weak signals the same shift they appear.
For context on scale: I led safety across more than 90 airports and roughly 17,000 employees in the United States and Canada, with measurable year-over-year reductions in lost-time injuries, aircraft damage, and unsafe acts.
If this sounds like the work you need, a short note is enough.
